Jonty Ross is a Galway and Limerick based writer, director, and multi-department filmmaker with a prolific background in no-budget independent filmmaking and is currently studying Film at the University of Galway. Having written and directed over 20 short films, primarily focused on crime thrillers and coming of age drama, he has been a 3x Fresh Film Festival Finalist, a Chicago Filmmaker Awards Semi-Finalist, and an award winner at the Happenstance Horror Fest. Beyond directing, Jonty is also an actor, having over 40 acting and extra credits, including a minor role in the David Gleeson feature film ‘Once Upon A Time In A Cinema’. They also serve on the committee of the National Young Filmmakers Council of Ireland.
