Emilio Salomón Álvarez is widely known in the film industry as a feature film producer; for his tenure as president of the Filmmakers Association, a position that led him to be one of the architects of the current Film Law; and for his teaching work, especially at the EICTV film school in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. However, Emilio also has an extensive filmography as a director of short films that have garnered national and international acclaim.
