An Egyptian actress and director. She studied French at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. She became known for action roles in Egyptian cinema; among her most famous films are *Halat Talabbus* (Caught in the Act) and *Bint Mushaghiba Jiddan* (A Very Mischievous Girl). She also acted in theater and television; her television credits include *Zi'ab al-Jabal* (Wolves of the Mountain), *Al-Hisab* (The Reckoning), and *Wanees wa Ayyamuhu* (Wanees and His Days), while her stage work includes *Raqisat Qita' 'Aam* (Public Sector Dancer) and *Awlad al-Shawari'* (Street Children). She stepped away from the screen for several years following a car accident but returned to the spotlight in 2002 via the satellite TV program *Tajribati* (My Experience). Subsequently, she appeared in several series, including *Azhar*, *Wanees wa Ayyamuhu*, and *Nazariyat al-Jowafa* (The Guava Theory).
