Tida Lupa 2015

Directed by Asrida Elisabeth

In 1965, mass killings swept across Indonesia, targeting members and sympathizers of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI). This film focuses on the localized atrocities that occurred in Manggarai-Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), where individuals merely suspected of having ties to the PKI were systematically murdered. The narrative uncovers a dark chapter of history, detailing how the few survivors were eventually released only after enduring brutal torture.
