Nils tells about confrontation with a school class who cried fagot in front of him and Maria gives a poignant picture of what it was like to grow up as different; traumatic childhood marked by compulsory care and medication. In personal and intimate conversations five older LGBTQ people tells about incidents and events that affected their lives. The documentary gives an image of the LGBT movement's emergence and necessity.
